A Different Kind of Countdown...

(The boys today at our "lunch date"!)

Day 2 without the hubs...He's on a short term mission's trip with some of the high school students. He'll be gone for 7 days (another countdown). This will be the longest we have ever been away from each other in 15 years. (Since I've known him.) I do miss him like crazy, but I have a lot of things to do. Actually more things than I realize.

There are four main things I need to accomplish this week. #1 - Have my "planning" lunch with the boys. (That was done today.) #2 - Catch up on some require reading for Church Planter's Boot Camp in September. #3 - There is a wedding this Saturday, and lots to do for that. But most of all...#4 - Pack, Pack, Pack, and then pack some more!

So all that will keep me busy. I absolutely loved having lunch with my boys today...It was a "working lunch". We planned out the 2009-2010 school year, along with special studies and field trips. Caleb had really been looking forward to this and I'm glad he's got a say in his education.

The homeschool laws for Kentucky are not that much different than what I was already doing in New Jersey. Your homeschool in KY is considered a private school. (You must give your school a name.) Which is pretty cool. So today during our planning lunch we talked about what we should name our school. We haven't totally decided yet, we wanted dad's input too! :)

So I must get some work done (whistle while I work??)...I need to learn to whistle. ;-)
