I've been teaching Children's Church for as long as I can remember. I've always been there to assist my mom as she taught and at the age of 15 or 16, I was given my own class. So, if my math is correct... That's over 20 years! I never get tired of teaching children. Armed with bubbles, a silly straw, and m&m's, I can settle down a room full of crazy kiddos! And I never get tired of their stories... They have the best stories!!
Next week we will begin our rehearsals for Christmas. One thing I love more than teaching children, is watching them perform... You NEVER know what will happen. But one thing's for sure... It will be entertaining!
I woke up this morning with my heart full of thankfulness. I'm thankful for my church this morning...for the people who take time to teach our children. We have 16 Children's Ministry Volunteers!! That's amazing to me. I've served at bigger churches that didn't have that many volunteers. God has blessed us abundantly. He continues to bless us and our church.
Children love Christmas... I love Christmas... And I can't wait to get the rehearsals started!!
He
put a child in the middle of the room. Then, cradling the little one in his
arms, he said, "Whoever embraces one of these children as I do, embraces
me; and far more than me - God who sent me."
Mark
9:36-37
