It's been a rough winter... We had a nice Thanksgiving and Christmas... But between November and February... Geez, have I had a lot medical stuff going on!! And when I say a lot, I mean - I've already met my deductible for 2013.
The Monday after Thanksgiving is when all the test began... After tons of blood work, x-rays, two biopsies, 10 stitches, and a female procedure that was...well...never mind... I think I'm healthy.
(The ten stitches was caused by a maple syrup bottle breaking on top of my foot...that was not in my plan.)
But really, neither was the other stuff... It just happened. One test led to another and three months later... I have some pretty big medical bills. But God was there every step of the way. And most of the time as I was having tests run, I had other people needing my prayers.
But through all that, I continued to do what I love...and learned lessons along the way. I learned that it's ok to stay in bed for an entire day to heal. My house did not fall apart and my boys did their schoolwork. I learned that it's ok to ask for help. I learned that ordering sushi one night and pizza the next night would not kill us. I learned after sleeping all day, a Popsicle is the best thing in the world.
And I learned that I am surrounded by people who would drop what they were doing to say a prayer or change their plans to help a gal in need. I've felt God through everything. God used them to say, "It's ok Stacy...take a break...have a Popsicle."
So, no more appointments...no more needles!! I've got a countdown going on. It's almost spring and this chapter (aka - winter) is drawing to a close. Think spring! :-)
