Wow. I said I was going to be better at blogging. As you can see, I'm not. I have really good intentions, but when it all comes down to it ..... I just have a lot to do.
I am now doing childcare for friend. The baby is almost 4 months old. She's a really good baby so it doesn't interfere with school. She's either sleeping or sitting in her swing watching the boys learn. (I'm sure she's learning right along with them!)
My children are homeschooling through The Grace Academy. And I must confess that today I lost my temper with them. (The school, not my boys.) Caleb took a very difficult math exam today and it was graded by a computer. It said that he got a 56%. Poor Caleb was shocked! (Me too!) As I looked at the test I saw that a lot of the questions that were marked wrong were the computer's mistake. Apparently computer's aren't perfect.
So I sent them a "not so nice" email. I just told them that a test this big should have been graded by an actual person.
Well, I heard back from them almost immediately. They said that it was their mistake and Caleb's grade is an 84%. Much better. I felt a little guilty for my email.
So I repented. I should have been nicer. I would have gotten the same outcome. I may have ruined some person day and for that I'm sorry.
I guess that's my lesson for today.
*Please Note: I will not say that I will try harder to blog more often. I will say that I will blog when I learn something.....cause I'm still learning! :o)
Recipe Time!!! This is a "go to" meal in my house all the time!!
Chicken Pot Pie
2 cooked chicken breast cut into chunks
1 can of mixed veggies
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 tsp of Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of pepper
Topping
1 cup of Bisquick
1 egg
1/2 cup of milk
Mix the first 6 ingredients together and place in a 2 quart baking dish.
Mix together the "topping". This will be very wet. Pour over chicken mixture and spread evenly. Before I bake it I sprinkle a little more pepper over the crust. (Don't stir it in.)
Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes! Enjoy with a tossed salad! ~Yum!

I apologize for the computers mistake on Caleb's test. We know that test scores are often very important to children (and moms) and are glad that we were able to fix the problem right away for you. Reading your post is a great reminder of how much our program affects people's lives and how privileged we are to be able to serve you and your family. It is an honor and a blessing.
